Will Age Claim Castro? |
Comment by Larry Ross |
December 29, 2006 |
|
Castro has done a wonderful job for the Cuban people. They know and appreciate him for it. Somehow he has dodged and/or survived the many US assassination attempts against him. Let us hope the US hasn't invented some new biochemical weapon that could be virtually undetectable and create natural-appearing deaths. Given the huge lead the US has in weapons development in many fields, one cannot logically exclude the possibility of technological advances in US covert weaponry. Also, we cannot expect news about such hypothetical new weapons, as detection and publicity would tend to nullify the usage and effects of such weapons. |
Castro Outlives Another American President |

Admire him or despise him, it's tempting to think Fidel Castro keeps a piece of polished Cuban Mahogany in his office with, as of yesterday, six marks on it -- one for each American president he has defied and survived, beginning with Dwight Eisenhower. Every president starting with Ike has presided over plots of various levels of nefariousness against Castro's Cuba, the most notorious being the Kennedy era's botched invasions, exploding clam plots and beard-melting conspiracies. But even the more benign U.S. administrations have maintained the embargo and participated in various other forms of economic subterfuge against the hemisphere's only socialist isle. |

Cheney and Rumsfeld were deep-selected from lower-level positions in the Nixon administration and named as Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff for Ford's White House..... |
WILL BUSH START A WAR WITH IRAN? |
Comment by Larry Ross |
December 28, 2006 |

A number of articles are posted on our website predicting a US war with Iran . And a Google search on this subject showed 104 million articles. Searching "US Nuclear War With Iran" showed 24.7 million articles. Therefore, a lot of very thoughtful people are deeply concerned, and writing about, this subject. And there are many indications that this nightmare will begin soon, just as there were before the illegal US bombing, invasion and occupation of Iraq began in 2003. |
Crime Of The Century: Are Bush And Cheney Planning An Early Attack On Iran? |
by Dave Lindorff |
December 24, 2006 |

Back on October 9, I wrote in The Nation that it looked like the Bush-Cheney gang, worried about the November election, was gearing up for an unprovoked attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, with a carrier strike group led by the USS Eisenhower being ordered to depart a month early from Norfolk, VA to join the already-on-station USS Enterprise. That article was based on reports from angry sailors based on the Eisenhower who had leaked word of their mission. |

by Eleanor Clift |
December 26, 2006 |
|
In the spirit of holding our political leaders accountable, this year-end review will tabulate the worst lies told by Bush and company, along with several stories that were underreported in the media. Much of what was generated got lost in the fog of war, but the long arm of history will retrieve these moments. As the president said in his news conference this week, if they're still writing about No. 1 - George Washington - there's plenty of time before the historians can properly evaluate No. 43. Judging by the mess in Iraq, it could be 200 or 300 years - if ever - before Bush is vindicated. |
The Iraq Study Group Backs Increasing Genocide in Iraq |
Comment by Larry Ross |
December 23, 2006 |
|
The Iraq Study Group is obviously pandering to Bush fantasies, by refusing to recognise the US massacre of Iraqis as an illegal, totally unjustified invasion of a small country. Iraq had no WMD, no links to al-Qaeda or Bin Laden, and no links to the 9/11 attack, and no intentions of attacking neighbours or the USA or the UK ..."....in 45 minutes" as Tony Blair claimed. This would have to be one of the largest deceptions for warmaking in history. |

Impeachment of Bush A Necessity |

Evan Peterson presents a comprehensive case for impeachment of Bush and what is being done to achieve this objective. Bush continues to do a great deal of damage to America and the world and plans to do much more if Americans allow him to continue in office. The problem is that mainstream America is not aware that the problem is so very critical and that Bush must be stopped before he takes the US to a point of no return. |

...Hitler's Reichstag fire was a successfully planned 'False Flag' event. The neoconservative soul of the Bush Administration has shown itself very capable of planning similar 'False Flag' events. Many think they have already demonstrated how they can make history and orchestrate their new deceitful 'truths' to suit, with the phoney 9/11 attack. Their litany of lies to justify their continuing illegal war on Iraq is another good example of their artful Machiavellian deceptions. |

Links to 9/11 Conspiracy |
Comment by Larry Ross |
November 29, 2006 |
|
Here is another piece of the 9/11 puzzle. That Pakistan Intelligence financed the 9/11 hijackers. That the newly appointed head of the CIA Porter Goss, knew this and had close links with Pakistan intelligence. If 9/11 was a Bush Administration 'inside job', Porter Goss must have been privy to, or part, of that operation. No wonder Bush appointed him to head the CIA with overall control of a budget of 40 billion dollars for intelligence operations? For those who have studied 9/11 and concluded it must have been a Bush Administration conspiracy, the attached article by Prof. Chossudovsky makes sense and is an important part of the conspiracy. |

Torture Becoming A Part of the American Way |
Comment by Larry Ross |
November 15, 2006 |
|
A few weeks ago Congress passed laws which legalised the U.S. use of torture on so-called terrorism suspects At first there was some debate and resistance to Bush's torture bill. But the Senate and Congress quickly caved in and gave Bush what he wanted. Now torture is legal. For the time being it is mainly kept secret and done by U.S.-sponsored dictatorships, or client regimes in other countries. Main stream U.S. media carefully avoid the subject so a lot of Americans don't know how much about it. The following article shows how torture is becoming incorporated into American life. It is a reflection of the psychopathology of George Bush. As long as Bush remains in office, we can expect a growth in this foul and degrading practice. |

Here is an article which gives more in-depth information about one of the themes in my NZ Tour talk - the influence of religious beliefs on Bush's foreign policy decisions. Also, "The October Surprise " may include a "False Flag" operation to gain public support for war with Iran and give a boost to Bush's and Republican Party popularity, for the Nov U.S. elections, as detailed in my talk. It's very much like Adolph Hitler having the Reichstag burned down 3 days before the 1933 German elections, in order to get popular approval and Hindenberg's agreement to sign papers doing away with civil rights and allowing the installation of Hitler's dictatorship. At the moment, NZ might follow the U.S. lead, due lack of public education about this possibility. |

Morgan Reynolds joins a growing group of well-known Americans who have exposed the truth that the 9/11 attack was an inside job. The attack's purpose was to persuade Americans that this was a new "Pearl Harbour" attack on the U.S.A. Then the Bush Administration with media cooperation used that attack to fool Americans into supporting a "war on terrorism" and specific wars on Afghanistan, Iraq and in the future, other targets. The object, as indicated in the neocon PNAC papers, was to start up a "long war" in the Middle East - to conquer the territory - and control the world's oil resources. |

Officials there purged tens of thousands of eligible voters from the rolls, neglected to process registration cards generated by Democratic voter drives, shortchanged Democratic precincts when they allocated voting machines and illegally derailed a recount that could have given Kerry the presidency. A precinct in an evangelical church in Miami County recorded an impossibly high turnout of ninety-eight percent, while a polling place in inner-city Cleveland recorded an equally impossible turnout of only seven percent. In Warren County, GOP election officials even invented a nonexistent terrorist threat to bar the media from monitoring the official vote count.(11) |

As Iran will retaliate against U.S. attack, the situation could very easily escalate and involve China and Russia. A sudden global nuclear exchange could result. Bush Popularity Drops |
Comment by Larry Ross |
April 21, 2006 |

This article shows how much the popularity of Bush and his Administration has dropped and how it has alienated the American population. Numerous factors cause this - Bush's very poor domestic performance, his spying on Americans, his arrogance, poor judgement, his dictatorial attitude, and more than anything else, his illegal war on Iraq. Obviously most Americans would disapprove of his war plans for Iran, especially if he nuclear bombs Iran. He and his advisors know this very, very well. Yet they are still preparing to launch another illegal war on a much bigger and better prepared target - Iran, when their military resources are overstretched. Another crazy neocon mystery? I don't think so. |

You can count on one thing. All over Washington, Republicans are at least as capable as I am of watching and interpreting the polling version of the smash-up of the Bush administration. With each new poll, the numbers creep lower yet. Presidential approval in the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll dropped another 3% in the last month and now sits at 38%, while disapproval of the President continues to strengthen -- 47% of Americans now "strongly disapprove" of the President's handling of the presidency, only 20% "strongly approve." (62%, by the way, disapprove of the President's handling of the war in Iraq.) |

In the following article Ralph Nader gives an excellent analysis of why the Bush-cons Administration should be impeached. I hope the Americans are able to do this- and that the U.S. will withdraw from Iraq - and that there will be no war with Iran. However the future could be very different. For some time the Bush-cons have been planning a war with Iran, perhaps nuclear. They're unlikely to stop now and admit failure in Iraq. That would be unacceptable, and in any case they don't appear to be any serious challengers. I think they will try to continue their horrendous dream of an American empire. As a trigger Bush desperately needs another 9/11 "Pearl Harbour" which he can blame on Iran, then use as a justification for attack. As 9 states have nuclear weapons and the IAEA reports Iran has none, even Bush might find it hard to justify an attack on Iran because it might get nuclear weapons some day. |

Chomsky, 40 years a U.S. political
activist, was asked in the following interview: "What would you have
done differently?" He answered: "I would have done more. Because the problems are so serious and overwhelming that it's disgraceful not to do more about it" Chomsky then outlines some of the problems that should concern everyone. |

For over 40 years, MIT professor
Noam Chomsky has been one of the world's leading intellectual critics of
U.S. foreign policy. Today, with America's latest imperial adventure in
trouble both politically and militarily, Chomsky -- who turned 77 last month
-- vows not to slow down "as long as I'm ambulatory." I spoke
with him by phone, on Dec. 9 and again on Dec. 20, from his office in Cambridge. Geov Parrish: Is George Bush in political trouble? And if so, why? Noam Chomsky: George Bush would be in severe political trouble if there were an opposition political party in the country. |

is ruinously expensive and very costly for individual taxpayers. Bush's planned Iran war is apt to be much larger. It could be even more costly than the Iraq war and bankrupt the U.S. until Bush's aggression trigger's a nuclear holocaust. |

$US trillion ($NZ2.91 trillion), far above the White House's pre-war projections,
when long-term costs such as lifetime health care for thousands of wounded
US soldiers are included, a study said today. |
