Bush Can Justify as Moral, The Greatest of Evils |
comment by Larry Ross |
September 3, 2007 |
|
The religiously deluded, which includes most people in the US, using the right techniques and lies, can justify the greatest crimes and convince most of the US public oi the morality of what they are doing - even using nuclear weapons against non-nuclear nations. Even most US mass media will cooperate in this enterprise. And most of the US public will believe it, if the lies and justification is plausible and the media keeps articles from them which reveal the truth. |

Teaching End Times Fundamentalism to US Soldiers |
comment by Larry Ross |
August 11, 2007 |
|
Spreading 'End Times' fundamentalism, disguised as 'entertainment for the troops' is the other indicator how Bush's 'Born Again' fundamentalism is infecting and guiding his presidency and policies. True Believers make good Crusaders willing to slaughter infidels for George Bush and his pro-war cronies. By instilling 'junk' religious doctrines in captive minds, ordinary Americans can be more easily persuaded to kill and believe their war is moral, just and that their Lord approves whatever they do. No wonder the Pentagon approves this crusade. |

US policies and attitudes have shifted from nuclear deterrence with mass destruction and mutual suicide, to nuclear weapon use against any non-nuclear nation named as a US enemy. It's well documented in the Justin Raimondo article that follows. The named enemy is Iran and Bush has invented a number of lies, false accusations and suspicions to demonise Iran to the American people. Bush used the same 'big lie' technique prior to his unprovoked attack on Iraq in 2003. Then he had the alleged 9/11 'terrorist' attack and knowingly concocted lies linking Saddam Hussein to Bin Laden and this attack. Accusations were enough and worked for Bush in spite of mass demonstrations. Although there was lots of evidence these accusations were wrong, Bush's lies - effectively promoted and repeated by the mass media - were sufficient to get public and Congressional support. |

The anniversary of the U.S. bombing of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is, perhaps, a good time to note that arguments rationalizing and even valorizing the use of nuclear weapons, once considered beyond the pale, are now back in fashion. Here we have yet more evidence of the Bizarro Effect , which, ever since 9/11, has stood everything – especially our traditional concept of morality – on its head, not only repealing the laws of logic and common sense but also ensconcing evil in the place of good. |
Fundamentalists Welcome Armageddon |
comment by Larry Ross |
July 31, 2007 |
|
US Fundamentalists express the most dangerous and bizarre beliefs as indicated below. These people call for a war with Iran as a method of achieving Armageddon and being raptured to Heaven. This movement includes some very powerful, influential and wealthy people, who work hard to make their 'End Times' dreams come true. The most powerful man in the world, George Bush, is regarded as a hero by this group who see him as appointed by God to bring about the destiny they want. Will their madness prevail? Consider their dedication and the resources they pour into what they believe will bring on Armageddon. Compare that to your own dedication and the resources you and others put into rationality and peace. The various Fundamentalists may be mad but there is a growing body of such believers. Their dedicated madness and resources, linked to the power and nuclear madness of the Bush Administration, could prevail over the rational, but apathetic 'business-as-usual' majority. |

On July 16, I attended Christians United for Israel's annual Washington-Israel Summit. Hagee and his minions have forged close ties with the Bush White House and members of Congress from Sen. Joseph Lieberman to Sen. John McCain. In its call for a unilateral military attack on Iran and the expansion of Israeli territory, CUFI has found unwavering encouragement from traditional pro-Israel groups like AIPAC and elements of the Israeli government. |

The purpose is to supply the incentive and justification for nation two to make war on nation three. Among the many examples of how the CIA today makes the agency detailed in the "crown jewels" documents look pallid by comparison is the system of torture created by the Bush administration in the treatment of suspected terrorists. 'End Timers' Urge Bush -'Bring on God's Nuclear Doomsday' and Rapture to Heaven for the Faithful. Bush's 'End Times' supporters believe this would be the biblical Armageddon, as foretold in an obscure passage in the Bible. .... My own observation is that the US mass media hardly ever mentions the danger of nuclear weapons anymore. Their major asset is George Bush who relies on their support and votes. Its a powerful combination and threat to American society. It is a cause of some of the irrational foreign policy decisions. |

When Generals and Congressmen promote the Faith at the Pentagon for TV it is usually a form of messianic Christianity - the kind that believes in 'End Times' soon, and a new crusade against the unbelievers. ....The U.S. Democrats who have just won in Congress and the Senate are unlikely to stop this war as they are deeply involved in approving the Iraq war, and either repeating or not questioning Bush lies to justify it. They are doing the same thing about the new U.S. enemy - Iran . They have also approved Bush's new nuclear doctrines, his patriot laws, his preparations for the Iran war and given him virtually unlimited power. The Democrats have proved themselves to be a weak, lily-livered and wishy-washy opposition party unwilling and unable to speak the truth about the Bush Administration and the illegal wars. The following essays provide insight into the growth and power of U.S. Christian Zionism, its influence on U.S. foreign policy, and the influence of Israel on U.S. policy. It is very powerful, very irrational and leading humanity toward what it sees as a Biblical prophecy of End Times. It is utterly immoral and cruel toward its Palestinian victims, as it believes they are occupying land given by God to the Jews a few thousand years ago. They believe that any action to help bring about End Times and the return of the Messiah, is justified as it helps implement God's will. It is a growing insanity of righteous self-destruction that believes that if some kind of heavenly Armageddon turns our planet into a fiery hell, the chosen believers will be raptured to a heavenly paradise. |

Bush is not fighting a global war on terrorism in Iraq or anywhere else. There was no terrorism in Iraq until Bush provoked the resistance to invasion and American barbarism. He calls such resistance "terrorism" for his own political purposes. His wars and policies and statements make far more resistance to American aggression or "terrorism" as he likes to call it, than it defeats. His so-called "war on terrorism" in Iraq is not a war - particularly after he quickly defeated the puny forces of Saddam Hussein. To fully refute the fundamentalists' not-so-clever obfuscations, we must consider Middle Eastern monotheism from the enlightening perspective of comparative religion. |

Bush Spreads Democratic Genocide |
June 1, 2006 |
||
As well as the Haditha dead victims of U.S. 'Democracy' some 250,000 innocent men, women and children in Iraq have experienced the direct fruits of U.S. democracy from the barrels of U.S. guns, the U.S. bombs dropped on them, and the destruction of their homes.. This is the 'democracy-in-action' that Bush is determined to continue at any cost, as his West Point speech indicates. |
Spreading Democracy in Haditha |
by Mike Whitney |
May 30, 2006 |
|
As details of the atrocities in Haditha continue to surface in the media, it is clear that George Bush is either completely divorced from reality or simply incapable of grasping the catastrophe he has created. In fact, he is as culpable in the deaths of the “24 unarmed Iraqis” as if he had put the gun to their heads' and shot them one by one. |
Bush Madness Explained |
May 23, 2006 |

"Bush has been taken over... by a saviour complex..."the person playing the archetypal role of saviour will reflect this unconsciousness and become inflated, blown up out of all proportion by the power of the archetype. He will then, of necessity, be compelled to act out his hubris in a way that is destructive for all who are under his dominion." |

The latest information I have had from the followers of der Bush is that he has demanded and received permission to use nuclear "bunker busters" in Iran in a preemptive strike. As a nuclear veteran (Operation Redwing, Bikini, 1956) I can affirm that this is absolute madness. The "bunker buster" is a cute sounding name for a nuclear horror. Air bursts are horrible enough, doing incredible destruction through heat, shock and high initial radiation. The fallout from an air burst is registered around the world. A surface or subsurface burst is even deadlier and more long lasting. |

1,800 physicists have warned that we face human extinction if Bush's continues with his new nuclear doctrines, and proceeds with his strategy to use nuclear weapons against Iran or in other conflict. Many other well-informed experts have warned humanity with the same message. There are many reasons that nuclear weapons use would trigger rapid escalation to global nuclear war, and destruction of all life. |
Physicists Say No To Nuking Iran |
Alexandra Walker |

"It is gravely irresponsible for the U.S. as the greatest superpower to consider courses of action that could eventually lead to the widespread destruction of life on the planet. We urge the administration to announce publicly that it is taking the nuclear option off the table in the case of all non-nuclear adversaries, present or future, and we urge the American people to make their voices heard on this matter." |
Bush Bases Foreign Policy on Delusions |
May 12 , 2006 |
||
The mental hospitals have many patients who believe they are in direct contact with God - that God is telling them things and instructing them to take certain actions. When they act out these heavenly delusions and take the action that they think God has instructed them to take, often it involves violence against others. The law then sees these people as a danger to themselves, family and community and has them placed in a hospital for treatment. |

burned, radiated, slowly dieing of their untreated wounds. |

Twelve hours. One circuit of the sun from horizon to horizon, one course of the moon from dusk to dawn. What was once a natural measurement for the daily round of human life is now a doom-laden interval between the voicing of an autocrat's brutal whim and the infliction of mass annihilation halfway around the world. |

Nobel Laureates and other prominent
figures petitioned the U.S. Congress not to nuclear bomb Iran "regardless
of whether Iran is in any way involved in an attack on the U.S."
This plan is very much like the Pentagon's "Operation Northwoods"
to blame and then bomb and invade Cuba in 1962, after a faked attack on
the U.S. using U.S. covert action. |

over in-process Pentagon contingency plans drafted in preparation for

and tactical nuclear weapons regardless of whether Iran is any way
involved in such an attack against the U.S. |

These concerned people should
not be be easily dismissed using the usual escape mechanisms we tend to

There are over 14,000,000
results on Google searching under "How Dangerous Is George Bush?" This is an excellent demonstration showing that so many people know he is extremely dangerous and state why. In a nutshell, it is because Bush claims it is America's duty to rid the world of terrorist evil. He defines his motives as good and God-approved. Those against him are evil and with the terrorists. Any crime is permissible in Bush's holy war on anything he proclaims as terrorism. In-betweens are not tolerated. |

Religion is the most dangerous energy source known to humankind. The moment a person (or government or religion or organization) is convinced that God is either ordering or sanctioning a cause or project, anything goes. The history, worldwide, of religion-fueled hate, killing, and oppression is staggering. Eugene Peterson (from the introduction to the book of Amos in the Bible paraphrase The Message) |

Pentagon: Climate Change Will Destroy Us
By Mark Townsend and Paul Harris Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters.
A secret report, suppressed by US defense chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world. See Full Story |
