Paul Craig Roberts has excellent credentials for warning us about the evil intentions of the Bush Administration. A Google search showed 14,200,000 entries under "Paul Craig Roberts". He is a prolific and well-known U.S. journalist whose warnings cannot be dismissed as "IMPROBABLE", "UNLIKELY" "CRAZY" "THEY WOULD NEVER DO THAT" etc. He is an economist and a former Senior Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution, and former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan 'Administration; a former Associate Editor of the Wall Street Journal and Co-Author with Lawrence M. Stratton of the "Tyranny of Good Intentions: How Prosecutors and Bureaucrats Are Trampling The Constitution in the Name of Justice". A companion article about Roberts and his dire warnings and revelations is "Prominent Conservative Leader: Government In Hands Of Psychopaths" It will help explain what is really happening in Washington and World Affairs. Because of his long association and work in government, he has many contacts in Washington. He knows what is really happening, and what is planned and what is likely to happen. Please consider his article and forward it if you want people to be informed. Education is vital on these issues as the mass media has so far suppressed the most important facts. Often I think the media is trying to keep New Zealanders in a cocoon of ignorance about what is really happening, and why, in the wider world. Unfortunately NZ media makes a big fuss about sports events and celebrity gossip but don't print much about important news that can have profound effects on the future of humanity and the world. NZ media are often owned by overseas corporate interests. They have done their best to portray reality as the Bush Administration wants you to see it. The consequences of Bush's plans are horrendous. It could easily become doomsday. The public have been warned for 50 years about the ultimate consequences of a hubris-driven regime with plans for global domination coupled with an unrestrained arms race and enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world many times over. It not surprising that the worst scenario has finally happened. It has happened before in human history and has happened today with the Bush regime. Unlike previous abuses of power by kings and dictators in history, this time the dictatorial leader's power is astronomical. At no time in past history has a psychopathological regime been able to destroy the world. Today the Bush administration can do it in a few hours, and many times over. As Noam Chomsky and many others have warned, continuing the present policies, and the lies they are based on, will result in a nuclear war. Almost inevitably such a war would grow into a wider war involving other nations and nuclear powers. One way of seeing this new reality is to imagine your house is burning down around yourself and family. You would likely do something, such as phone the fire department, turn on the garden hose, ask your neighbours for help etc. Nothing else would seem so important to you. Translate that concern into what is really happening today to your larger house - the world. Once the match is lit - the nuclear match - our larger house, which today is the world, can be burned down and all life destroyed. This possibility is one reason for people to be concerned and take some form of preventative action, such as forwarding this article and engaging in other types of education or political action.
