Many are Whispering: Is Bush Insane?

Comment by Larry Ross, July 8, 2006

“Ask the question: Is Bush Insane?” to the Google search engine oracle and most of over 10 million articles say he is exhibiting various types of insanity.

Go ahead and try it yourself. All the empirical evidence also indicates that humanity is facing an extremely dangerous situation -  from the many environmental threats to humanities future - to Bush's new nuclear doctrines that permit him, (He's already got Congressional approval), to wage pre-emptive nuclear war against both nuclear and non-nuclear states, as well as introduce nuclear weapons into a conventional conflict.

The most extreme administration in American history, carefully selected for their ' think-alike' qualities and obedience to orders is in charge of enough nuclear firepower to destroy the world many times over. And they are a very cunning, intelligent lot of people, often referred to as "neoconservatives". But Bush and his ensemble of cronies is a long way to the right of qualifying as genuine conservatives.

Read what Dr. Paul Craig Roberts says about them. He is a well-known  conservative leader who was Assistant to the U.S. Treasury under Ronald Regan. In his articles, posted on this site, he writes that Bush is planning to attack Iran using nuclear weapons, and to create a terrorist attack on the U.S. and then blame Iran for doing it.  He will use that as justification to make war on Iran. His prepared and 'doctored intelligence' that people have been conditioned to believe will be used to lend credibility to his claims. Enough people will believe it just as they still believe that Saddam Hussein had something to do with al-Qaeda and the 9/11 attack in New York in spite of massive proof to the contrary. The media will repeat the lies endlessly for George Bush just as they have done with every George Bush lie given to them before the Iraq war.

It's not just the Americans that are in trouble. If he brings on a nuclear war Bush can achieve a nuclear Armageddon. That is "God's will". He says so in the Bible according to millions of Fundamentalist Christian Americans who are looking forward to the 'End Times'. George Bush is their hero. And their numbers are growing every day. Craziness and the 'culture of paranoid nuttiness' are contagious.

Still, many people take comfort from the fact that Bush's popularity has reached an all-time low and therefore he and his so-called 'Republican' Party  will be turfed out of power. There's nothing to worry about they claim so they get back to other more important business. However the Bush regime can reverse this popularity slump, terrorize the American people and get their votes if they stage a believable   terrorist incident on U.S. soil before the 2006 elections. They exploited the 9/11 attack masterfully, as Tony Blair exploited his 7/7 attack.

However if that fails and there is widespread popular doubt about Bush's accusation that 'Iran did it ' the Bushcons can organize widespread election cheating and tampering with the electronic voting machines, as they so successfully did to fake Bush's election in 2000 and 2004. (see U.S. Elections on this site)

Another factor working to favour Bush's plan is the sheer scale of the deception, the speed at which the Bush Administration will implement the plan,

the huge destruction that will follow, and the new draconian 'patriot-type' fascist laws they will rush through Congress to enable them to silence critics,

and imprison those considered 'enemies of the state, helping the terrorists etc'. Congress, the Senate and the U.S. Democratic opposition have a record of voting their approval of all his wars and his steps to turn America into a fascist, military-style state.. There is widespread belief that they have been totally corrupted by the system and cannot be relied on to oppose Bush plans at any stage. Leading Democrats, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry and others, do not question Bush lies and they justify his wars.

Hitler's successful burning of the Reichstag is a good example of a similar type of staged event to enable Hitler to mobilize Germany and kill 50 million people as he marched across Europe to establish the Fourth Reich. Few dared to doubt his story, just as few Americans will dare to doubt whatever story Bush gives them.

Hitler only had conventional weapons but he was able to do a huge amount of damage. Bush has enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world - many times. He has the religious ideology; he claims to believe that he gets messages from God approving his actions; and on the final day he will be raptured to heaven. Who needs public approval when you have God on your side and you are helping implement his divine prophecy? Bush has no time for unbelievers. It's hard to believe that the fate of America and the world is now dependent on such a person.

Bush is surrounded by 'think-alikes' and rejects any criticism. He has the will to proceed. Read what Scott Ritter, ex-Marine and a top UN Weapons Inspector in Iraq says about Bush plans to use nuclear weapons on Iran. This is not some crackpot nutty idea that can easily be dismissed as improbable and impossible. Many top people are trying to warn you about it. Assess the evidence yourself.

Some peace-minded people take refuge in the idea that they can do nothing about Bush and his war plans ( Bush taught them that by completely rejecting the plea and protest of millions of people about his Iraq war) So they do something else in the peace and environment myriad of constructive causes which they believe has a chance of some degree of success.

However this article is a request to them to reconsider their priorities. A massive effort  is needed now to stop Bush's war plans. If he proceeds, he could threaten our planet, destroy us and much of what we hold dear and important, including ending, or making irrelevant, most of the noble causes we may now be working for.

The following article and many others under "Psychopathology of Bushism" on our website question Bush's sanity.

All the above claims are backed-up by authoritative articles  on our website: http://www.nuclearfree.org.nz/archives
