Preparations For War On Iran - Unleashing Armageddon in the Middle East

Dr Akleh (below) gives a thorough analysis of the preparations to wage war on Iran and how the U.S. has managed to coerce other allies into this insane and illegal venture. Given that China and Russia have close trade and military links with Iran, a U.S.-led war with Iran may unleash a huge war that involves them. It may also trigger the new U.S. nuclear doctrines of pre-emptive nuclear war. Many analysts, including Professor Michel Chossudovsky (see this site) claim the U.S. intends waging nuclear war on Iran . As both China and Russia have arsenals of nuclear weapons, an intercontinental nuclear war may be the result. The UK, France and Israel would likely also use their nuclear arsenals. The world could be a fiery ruin in a few hours. Both the U.S. and Russia and perhaps others, have missiles on 'hair-trigger' alert status which can be launched on warning (LOW) - that is in a few minutes. With nuclear proliferation to nine states, and the fear and uncertainty of new U.S. pre-emptive nuclear war doctrines, the danger of nuclear war has increased by "accident, miscalculation or act of madness" as President Kennedy warned in 1962. Politicians and the media don't mention this increasing risk.

The U.S. Democrats who have just won in Congress and the Senate are unlikely to stop this war. They are deeply involved in approving the Iraq war and may soon approve more U.S. troops. Most repeat, or do not question, the long litany of lies the Bush Administration invented to justify this war. The Democrats are doing the same thing about Bush's declared new U.S. enemy - Iran . They have also approved (1) Bush's new nuclear doctrines (2) legalised his right to make pre-emptive nuclear war (3) Legalised his patriot laws and (4) his torture and imprisonment laws and (5) his preparations for the Iran war. They have given him virtually unlimited power. The democrats have proved themselves to be a weak, wishy-washy 'opposition' party unwilling to speak the truth about the Bush Administration and its illegal wars. A few politicians oppose U.S. war policies, but not enough to make much difference.

NATO, the EU and other states have been a great disappointment. Many also repeat war propaganda and lies about Iran and join in the war preparations and adverse UN resolutions about Iran . Some politicians, like Tony Blair, will quickly shed the veneer of civilization and laws, such as the UN Charter, the Geneva Conventions and International law in order to make war without cause or justification other than the lies and distortions invented for that purpose. They know that 'humanity lives on the brink of the nuclear abyss' as Lord Mountbatten warned in 1979. They know that the whole world can be plunged into a nuclear inferno "by accident, miscalculation or act of madness" as President Kennedy warned in 1962. Countless other statesmen and military experts have given similar warnings. All governments, their military and most informed people know this. Yet they still are willing to throw away reason and the future of humanity in their mad scramble to initiate a meaningless nuclear war that will destroy themselves and humanity forever. They seem unable or unwilling to foresee the known and often predicted results of their illegal actions, or their lack of opposition to dangerous policies. Even more amazing, is that all nations know that Iran has no nuclear weapons or preparations to make such weapons (IAEA Reports), and is no threat to other nations. Portraying Iran as a nuclear threat is a groundless fabrication. But politicians and media, in building public support for Bush's war, avoid facts. They don't mention the huge risks and dire consequences of a limited or global nuclear war, or the mass death of innocents from any war. Some even pretend there's no war risk.

As Iran is conventionally well armed and prepared, the U.S. coalition may stage a sudden, massive, pre-emptive nuclear war, striking simultaneously at all targets and sources of Iran 's potential retaliation. As Russia and China are potential allies of Iran, does that mean a pre-emptive strike on them as well?

Not mentioned by Dr Akleh, is the possibility that Bush will employ a 'False Flag' operation in order to incriminate Iran . Used since 1600 by many governments, including the U.S. , a 'False Flag' involves staging an attack on your own people, or your allies etc and blaming the chosen enemy for that attack. That provides the excuse to start a war against the chosen enemy for the crimes you committed and then blamed them for. Preparations for a 'False Flag' can be extensive, followed swiftly by war, and then a huge media war propaganda barrage of lies (as the U.S. did for the war on Iraq ). Also, because the U.S. plans to use nuclear weapons and Bush is now dealing with a more hostile and doubting U.S. population, he is likely to rush through more repressive laws to ensure criticism and dissent are smothered. Bush has already committed many impeachable crimes - such as the unjustified killing of 655,000 Iraqis for no reason other than his fabricated lies. Therefore he may well commit worse crimes as suggested in the 'False Flag' scenario.

To step over the 60 year international ban and use nuclear weapons would normally be expected to elicit mass domestic and world horror and protest. Violating this ban, while gaining popularity could result from a successful 'False Flag' attack on the U.S. To gain public acceptance and support for the use of nuclear weapons, the Bush regime will have to generate a lot of hatred for its chosen enemy. A very horrific "False Flag' attack against the American people would provoke that hatred. So long as the truth is not revealed about who was really behind the 'False Flag' attack, the public would support the use of nuclear weapons against 'such a proven treacherous enemy'. The mass media has become little more than a propaganda right arm of the Bush regime. It can be relied on to not publish the truth, not to question, not to investigate or inquire, and not to doubt the official story. Allied mass media, often owned by out-of-state corporations, follows the same line and is a great help in making allied "coalition-of-the-willing" partners. A 'False Flag' may gain the support of uninformed allies, populations and the UN.

World-wide warnings about a potential U.S. 'False Flag' could prevent this strategy.

I realise how incredulous people will be about this possibility. Many will reject it without considering the evidence that this is an often-used technique by nations wishing to initiate war against a chosen enemy, while portraying themselves as the injured and innocent party. I strongly suggest that people Google "False Flag Operations" or "False Flag Against Iran" or "Operation Northwoods". The millions of articles on this subject confirm it is used. They are an eye opener. Reflect a minute that evil does exist, as Hitler and many dictators have proved throughout history. So it should not be a surprise that in a corrupted and money-centred democracy, evil can rise to the top and gain great power. The difference is that in 2006, a criminal regime has a powerful military machine at its disposal - with enough nuclear firepower to destroy the world many times over. Google gives much more extensive information on how this technique has been used by governments to condition people to hate a chosen enemy and lead them into a war to punish that new enemy.

Only by extensive education about the 'False Flag' tactic, and the total lack of justification for a war with Iran, can we expect to prevent it.

One trillion dollars is spent every year on arms and war making. This makes the problems worse and increases the risks of a global holocaust. The trillion dollar problems we confront are immense, socially embedded, hugely profitable, and funded y the taxes of every citizen. The problems and their momentum are growing and the consequences may be terminal. In comparison, efforts to make peace and prevent a holocaust are tiny. The anti-nuclear movement has almost died away, while the nuclear risks are increasing. Another objective is to reverse this negative trend by attracting adequate funding of ourselves and others working for similar goals. Unleashing Armageddon in the Middle East

In mid 1970s the American Power Elite drew a “Grand Plan” to control and to monopolize global oil and nuclear energy resources, for he who controls energy resources determines the fate of nations. The base of this “Grand Plan” is the invasion of energy rich countries to directly control their resources, and to create subservient governments that would exploit their own people as cheap labor to harvest energy for the United States.

The collapse of the Soviet Union had created a window of opportunity for the United States to ensure and to affirm its global superiority through expansion and controlling energy resources without any real opposition. The attacks of 911 were necessary requirements for the Bush administration to wage a “global war against terror” that would serve as a cover up for American hegemony. President Bush borrowed Mussolini's fascist motto of “If you are not with me, you are against me” and turned it into “You are either with us or with the terrorist” to terrorize weaker nations into accepting American expansions.

Part of the “Grand Plan”, which deals with the Arab World (Middle East) and South East Asia, was handed down to the Bush/Cheney administration for execution. The invasions and destructions of Afghanistan and Iraq are just the beginning. Iran, Syria, and Lebanon are next. Controlling Iran is very important to the American administration. Iran sits on a lake of oil and has large deposits of uranium that, when mined and refined, could make Iran a super global power. Controlling Iran leads to the containment of China (America's greatest competitor), who depends heavily on Iranian oil to satisfy its growing hunger for energy. Geographically Iran makes the shortest and the most economical route for Kazakhstan's oil pipeline from the Caspian Sea ,north, to the Persian Gulf south with all the oil-tankers traffic. Iran also fits perfectly within the line of American hegemony in South East Asia. Listening to Bush's speeches – especially his speech to the United Nation last September 2006- one can detect his “enthusiasm” for “spreading democracy and freedom” into the “despotic Middle East” with Iraq as an example.

The Bush/Cheney administration started its overt aggression against Iran immediately after 911 attacks. Bush described Iran as one of the “axis of evil” sponsoring “terrorist” groups such as the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Palestinian Hamas, who are in reality defending themselves against Israeli aggression. After the American invasion of Iraq the American administration accused Iran of instigating a civil war in Iraq by supporting Shiites against Sunnis, and of opening its borders wide for terrorists to enter Iraq. The administration is accusing Iran of building a nuclear bomb, and is continuously threatening its government to abandon its nuclear “ambitions” or else face dire consequences including nuclear strikes (a paradox of using nuclear weapon to stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons). Condoleezza Rice, the Secretary of State described Iran as a “central bank for world terrorism” that is threatening the stability of the Middle East.
