I Am With You 100% Against Bush's Illegal War on Iraq
Comment by Larry Ross
February 9, 2007

Born in Yonkers N.Y. in 1927, I've been campaigning against war since Hiroshima in 1945. I moved to New Zealand and founded the New Zealand Nuclear Free Peacemaking Association which helped make New Zealand nuclear free in 1987. The Pentagon was very angry about losing one of their nuclear base countries.

Tell Bush and Congress: Hands Off Iran!   We must act now to stop another war.

As the war in Iraq drags on into a fourth brutal year, the same politicians who led the U.S. to war in 2003 are preparing for a new war --this time against the people of Iran.
Once again using the pretext of "weapons of mass destruction," the U.S. is moving the forces into place in preparation for a possible attack. The USS Eisenhower strike force, with some 800 Tomahawk cruise missiles and a fleet of bombers, has moved into the Persian Gulf. A second carrier group, led by the USS Stennis, is now steaming toward the region.  The London Telegraph reported this spring that  "a major American attack on Iran's nuclear sites would kill up to 10,000 people and lead to war in the Middle East."

US 'Stop War on Iran' organisation action to prevent war.
Comment by Larry Ross
November 30, 2006

This is an excellent statement and action we can use in New Zealand to help Americans stop another unjust, illegal war by the Bush Administration against a non-nuclear state. I hope NZ labour unions, groups and individuals will take advantage of this fine initiative.

Labor Speaks Against War on Iran

  Write to U.S. Senators
Comment by Larry Ross
May 17, 2006

Whatever U.S. Senators do, or don't do, can effect you. For example if the U.S. Senate wishes to stop a war on Iran, or withdraw troops from Iraq, or endorse or reject the president's choice for head of the CIA, it can effect whether the U.S. continues to torture it's imprisoned suspects. U.S. Senators have considerable power if they wish to use it to stop wars, deny or approve funding for the military.

There is a chance for the Central Intelligence Agency to clear its name - to signal a new era by stating clearly that the CIA does not and will not engage in torture.

Global Nuclear Genocide? Women Say No
Comment by Larry Ross
March 2, 2006
The U.S. has used depleted uranium (D.U.) weapons in 4 wars (see below).
Britain and other members of U.S. military alliances have been complicit in D.U. usage and aware of the low-level radiation effects.
D.U. microscopic particles have been spread by air currents to Europe and Britain. It has a half life of 4,500,000,000 years, so can continue to spread over coming decades and centuries.. It can infect people with a number of fatal diseases as the following articles show, slowly killing or incapacitating many of them. It lasts forever and there is no cure.
Using such weapons is an attack on all humanity and all nations, as the particles will drift around the world forever.

Petition to Impeach Bush and his Top Officials   For you to sign
Comment by Larry Ross
December 31, 2005
Here is a vitally important petition to the U.S. Senate to impeach George Bush and key administration officials. Bush
has committed so many impeachable offences against the U.S. Constitution and against international law. His lies to Americans to get them to support his war on Iraq is a major impeachable offence. His continuing to make illegal, unjustified war every day, resulting in the death or maiming of thousands of Americans is an impeachable offence.

  VIDEO: George Bush Drunk Again
Various sources
Posted December 31, 2005
There have been rumors that Bush has been drinking again.
Here is actual footage of him talking about the Iraq elections in a very inebriated state.
And he is actually the most powerful man in the world!!! Unbelievable - He can't even control himself.

  Nuclear Bomb Opponents
September 5, 2005

Bush creates a phoney situation, launches a totally unjustified war on Iraq based on a number of untrue accusations; then accuses other middle east nations, such as Syria, of hindering his conquests, even if his accusations are themselves untrue. Then one of his mindless disciples, such as Rep Sam Johnston, call for the US to commit the greatest crime in history - the unprovoked use of nuclear weapons - to enforce Bush's will in the deliberately manufactured situation.
Millions of Americans will be appalled, but millions of Bush supporters will be persuaded that this is the right thing to do.
Increasingly, Bush supporters believe they have some kind of divine right to launch a nuclear armageddon against any imagined opponents, or nations which the Bush Administration claims are opponents.

Member Of U.S. Congress Calls for Nuking Syria
By ADC
March 2, 2005

Washington, DC -- Rep. Sam Johnson (R-TX) has advocated for attacking Syria with nuclear weapons. Rep. Johnson was quoted telling a recent church gathering, "Syria is the problem. Syria is where those weapons of mass destruction are, in my view. You know, I can fly an F-15, put two nukes on 'em and I'll make one pass. We won't have to worry about Syria anymore." The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is outraged at Rep. Johnson's statement advocating for mass destruction and genocide and views this as a sad day in our country's tradition when an elected member of the United States Congress openly advocates for attacking another country with nuclear weapons.

Bush Doctrine Is Expected to Get Chilly Reception

by Peter Baker
January 23, 2005

They were stunned when Bush leaned across a table in a private meeting and lectured Prime Minister Paul Martin about opposing the U.S. missile defense system. And they were later taken aback by a speech filled with what they considered the same "old Bush" foreign policy pronouncements that opened the divide with the allies in the first place.
"If he's going to take that speech to Europe," said a top Canadian official who attended the meeting between Bush and Martin, "he's not going to get a good reception."

An initiative of the Brussells Tribunal
We demand that the United States face up to reality, unconditionally withdraw their troops from Iraq, and draw the necessary conclusions as to the unacceptable nature of preventive war. It is an illusion to ask that the U.S. forces remain until Iraq is pacified or stabilized, because their very presence is so hated that it constitutes the main obstacle to any sort of pacification.

IRAQI CITIES "HOT" WITH DEPLETED URANIUM by Sara Flounders
August 16, 2003

Letter to Helen Clark and other MPs from Bill Watson - send yours!
Has U.S. use of depleted-uranium weapons turned Iraq into a radioactive danger area for both Iraqis and occupation troops?
This question has already had serious consequences. In hot spots in downtown Baghdad, reporters have measured radiation levels that are 1,000 to 1,900 times higher than normal background radiation levels. .......More
