Iraq Massacre Based On Lies

Comment by Larry Ross, December 20, 2006

The following article shows a few of the lies upon which the Iraq war is based. Amazingly, some people still believe these lies even though they have been exposed as concocted to justify the war. Even more amazing is that this US-created massacre not only continues, but gets worse in spite of the known lies. The mass media have embraced the lies as their own. To my knowledge, they have never admitted they acted for the Bush Administration in relaying these lies to their readers.

The latest ruse is the highly touted 10 member Iraq Study Group, set up as a sop to public opinion to give Bush a way out of Iraq . In fact it is a joke that does not deal with the real facts and lies behind the carefully planned Iraq  massacre. Also, it seeks to prepare public opinion for an escalation of the war and more US troops to win Bush's lie-based war.

Bush's big lie rules supreme in the US today, and Bush madness eats away at what remains of the soul of America .

OPTIONS AFTER THE DECONSTRUCTION OF IRAQ

by: Dr. Rodrigue Tremblay, Professor of Economics at the University of Montreal, December 12, 2006

"Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction."
--Dick Cheney, false statement August 26, 2002

"Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons."
--George W. Bush, false statement on September 12, 2002.

"Intelligence leaves no doubt that Iraq continues to possess and conceal lethal weapons."
--George W. Bush, false statement concerning WMD on March 18, 2003.

"For bureaucratic reasons, we settled on one issue, Weapons of Mass Destruction (as the justification for invading Iraq) because it was the one reason everyone could agree on."
--Paul Wolfowitz, explaining the phantom WMD rationale for war on May 28, 2003.

"But for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they're wrong, we found them."
--George W. Bush, false statement on May 30, 2003.

Wars of aggression are the most barbarous of all human endeavors. [1] They are, more often than not, the instruments of insane tyrants who hear voices.
Wars are also waged by warlike gambling leaders who bet their citizens' lives, houses and treasure to fulfill their own megalomaniac dreams of grandeur.

And the illegal military invasion of Iraq was a gigantic gamble right from the start. What's more, it is a war that was planned and executed on the basis of fabricated lies [2]. It was a war based on false pretenses and on false perceptions of the Islamic Middle East. For example, it is not true that Middle Eastern Muslims hate the West "because they hate our way of life, our freedom, and our democracy" [3]. Polls indicate that such ideas are simply based on ignorant prejudices.
