There is an 'axis of evil' in Washington bent on aggression and conquest due to their false interpretation of the Bible. It is made up of Christian Dispensationalists, Zionists, the military-industrial complex and related corporates, neo-conservatives, the very rich, right-wing media, and associated right wing groups. They each have their own motivations. The Fundamentalist Christians would like to see the prophesied fiery Armageddon come true in their lifetime, and believe its very close to happening. They would be raptured up to heaven and the unbelievers would experience the torments of Hell. The Zionists want Palestine land as they believe God promised it to them a few thousand years ago. Members of the military-industrial complex earn mighty profits from war. The military earns promotions and status, as do the mainly draft-dodging civilian militarists. The neo-conservatives in key positions of power, have bewitched George Bush and the Republican Party with their dreams and plans of conquest. Big oil sees huge profits in being able to control the oil resources of the Middle East and elsewhere. The very rich must have more, like King Midas, so co-operate for their slice of the cake. The corporate media justifies and sanctifies the madness - covers up the lies and makes heroes of history's greatest criminals. Millions of Americans and overseas war partners, such as Tony Blair, John Howard and others, are caught up in this expanding crusade. Countless millions may be murdered by wars based on lies. Events may become uncontrollable and expand into a nuclear tsunami that will engulf the world in mass destruction. The momentum toward it is accelerating. But Washington's 'axis of evil' is willing to take that risk - any risk - to fulfill the Neo-conservative imperial dream. The book reviewed below "Christian Zionism"
