BUSH CONTINUES HIS PHONEY WAR

By Larry Ross, September 9, 2004

1,000 US deaths after Bush announced victory over Iraq, he continues his phoney barbarous war and bombing. Bush has become a war criminal, violating the US constitution, many International Laws, the Nuremberg Charter and the UN Charter.

He has created a tissue of lies to justify an illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq, and continued slaughter of Iraqis. The following article on US bombing of Falluja is an example of US barbarity.

The US public, like the Germans under Hitler, have been wrongly informed and propagandised by a cowed and obedient mass media, to believe they have some kind of divine right and justification for this behaviour by their leader.

This phoney war is a series of US terrorist acts against a state and people, who had no WMD, no links to al-Qaeda, and no connection to the 9/11 attacks. There was no legitimate reason for the US attacks, occupation and continued war against Iraq. The fact that Saddam Hussein was a brutal dictator is not an excuse, as the US supported him for many years. The US sets up, supports and arms many corrupt dictatorships.

No way can the US war on Iraq be considered "a war against terror". It is a war of US terror against innocents. It will create opposition and hatred of the US, which Bush will then label as "terrorism" and use as proof and justification for more and expanded wars "against terror".

Everyone should be concerned that this criminal behaviour and gross deceit, by the most powerful man in the world, the US President, is accepted by a majority in the USA, and saluted by the mass media. It is the basis for his re-election. The future looks dark indeed. Bush's re-election would be a green light from the public for more of the same. Bush indicates he is preparing to wage more wars. Iran and Syria are some of the main enemies named by Israel, and dutifully adopted as US enemies by neocons near the top of the Bush administration, and then automatically, by Bush and US media.

Bush created new doctrines decreeing the use of nuclear weapons against any opponents he chooses to name. He will justify this by the same kind of lies he created for his war on Iraq. His re-election will be seen as an endorsement of the policy of a war criminal regime, and of more wars they plan..

But Bush's new wars can become nuclear wars and end life in our world. So far, not enough people know about Bush's pre-emptive war doctrines, and his new nuclear war policies, and their dangers. Nor do they understand that the continuance and progression of current US policies can lead to nuclear wars that can consume all humanity. Surely all but a few extremists and Fundamentalist Christians would oppose the threatened end of humanity.

Bush, himself a Fundamentalist Christian who claims he is following God's will, is willing to nuclear gamble the future of the planet for his lies and to achieve his ends.

How many people really understand that, or that their lives, and children's lives are in the balance. Why aren't more people concerned and active?

It is everyone's duty - anyone who wants civilization to continue - to expose and oppose the Bush lies, policies and nuclear war dangers. After some 5,000 wars throughout human history, with ever more destructive weapons, we have steadily perfected the means to our end. We face a final hideous end, billions of deaths, as a deranged Fundamentalist prepares to have his way. Almost passively, with hardly a murmur, we seem to accept this fate. Why? With wealthy republicans it is with triumphalism and trumpets blowing that they welcome ever more destructive phoney wars. They don't worry about consequences. It is Bush = god-given divine right = any cost = all the way.

We must expose and oppose them and the potential end of humanity and/or support those people and organizations who do this work.
