America is turning into Mordor

Mordor is a land of slagheaps and weapons factories, ruled by an all-seeing Eye that enforces his will through terror and slaughter. Sound familiar? Will our children become orcs or slaves?

The Lord of the Rings is about power, its abuse and temptations. The only salvation comes through destroying the Ring, through humility, suffering and faith. Salvation also requires a Fellowship, lots of mutual support toward a common goal.

America can only be saved by destroying the Ring- militarism and all its attendant evils. Kucinich has made this renunciation the center of his campaign. He is the only candidate to challenge the military-industrial complex. He wants to pare down the Pentagon budget, turn Iraq over to an international force, and start a Department of Peace. Let's help him, before we lose middle earth altogether.
